Changes, confirmation, payment and tracking.
Can I change or cancel my order?
You can change your basket right up until payment goes through.
Once the order is paid, email us as fast as you can at smtzsav@gmail.com. We'll do everything we can as long as packing hasn't started — but we can't promise anything once the parcel has left.
And if it has already shipped, nothing is lost: you still have 14 days from delivery to change your mind.
I didn't get a confirmation email
A confirmation email is sent automatically after you order. If you can't find it:
- Check your spam folder
- Check the email address you entered was correct
Still nothing? Email us and we'll resend it.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and instalment payment where it's offered at checkout.
Every payment is secure and your card details are never stored by SMTZ — they go straight to the payment provider.
How do I track my order?
As soon as your parcel ships you get an email with your tracking number. That link is the fastest way to know where it is at any moment.
Delivery
Where we ship, how long it takes, and what it costs.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. We've shipped to more than 28 countries from our studio in France.
How long does delivery take?
We prepare your order within 1 to 2 business days — often the same day.
- Europe: 2 to 5 business days after shipping
- United States: 7 to 8 business days, tracked and signed
- Made-to-order and engraved pieces: 1 to 14 business days before shipping, stated on the product page
- Peak periods (Christmas, sale season): allow up to 10 business days before shipping
Will I pay customs or duties?
Not in the United States. All US customs duties and import taxes are paid by us before your parcel ships. The price at checkout is the final price — nothing to pay at the door.
Within the European Union there are no customs formalities at all.
If a carrier ever asks you for a payment to release your parcel, don't pay it — forward us the message and we'll deal with it.
How much is shipping?
United States: a flat $29, tracked and signed, duties included — and free over $150.
Everywhere else, rates appear automatically at checkout depending on the method and destination you choose.
My parcel arrived damaged
Make a written note of the damage with the carrier at the moment you receive it — it's what makes a claim stick.
Then email us within 48 hours at smtzsav@gmail.com with photos of the parcel and of the items.
I wasn't there for the delivery
Your parcel goes to the pickup point the carrier tells you about, or through the letterbox if it fits. The carrier sends you the exact place and deadline by email, text or a card through the door.
Collect it within the deadline — after that it comes back to us automatically.
Returns & refunds
Every return starts online, through our portal.
How do I return something?
Go to smtz.shipping-portal.com/rp and enter your order number and email, within 14 days of receiving your parcel.
Pick the items, the reason, and whether you want a refund or store credit. We email you your return label.
Always go through the portal before sending anything back. Without a request and a label from us, we can't identify your parcel and it will be badly delayed.
Try things on the way you would in a shop, but leave the tags attached — a piece that has clearly been worn or damaged may be refunded at a reduced amount.
Is the return free?
Under $80: keep it. Sending a parcel back from the US costs more than most of our pieces are worth, so we don't ask you to. Tell us what went wrong in the portal and we refund you. The item is yours.
Over $80: we send a prepaid label and $30 is deducted from your refund or store credit.
If the return is down to us — wrong, faulty or damaged item — the label is free and nothing is deducted, whatever the value.
Do you do exchanges?
No, we don't do exchanges.
If you want a different size, colour or piece, choose store credit when you request your return. It's credited once your parcel arrives and has been checked, and then you order whatever you like with it. It never expires.
Store credit is always optional — if you'd rather have your money back on your original payment method, just ask.
What can't be returned?
Two categories only:
- Personalised items — engraved jewelry and pieces made to your specifications.
- Items sealed for hygiene reasons — earrings, piercings, underwear, swimwear tops and bottoms, once the seal has been opened. While the seal is intact, you can still return them.
Everything else, including our boxes and gift sets, can be returned.
How long does a refund take?
We refund within 14 days of receiving your parcel — or from the date you send us proof of shipment, if that's earlier.
Then allow another 2 to 10 business days for the money to show on your account or gift card, depending on your bank.
Our pieces & how to care for them
Where they come from, what they're made of, and how to keep them.
Where do your products come from?
Our clothing is our own designs. We draw them, then produce them with partner workshops — small family-run places in Italy and in Asia that we've worked with for years.
Our jewelry is a selection. Stainless steel, made in China, chosen piece by piece according to what's happening in fashion.
Can I keep my jewelry on in the shower, the sea, the pool?
Yes, if it's stainless steel — you can do anything with it. Shower, sea, pool, the gym, the washing-up. You never need to take it off. Stainless steel doesn't rust, doesn't tarnish and won't turn your skin green. That's exactly why we chose it.
The one optional habit: after the sea or the pool, a rinse under clean water and a wipe with a soft cloth keeps the day-one shine. Nothing is damaged if you skip it.
The one exception is gold plate. Plating is a thin layer of gold over another metal and it does eventually wear. Take gold-plated pieces off before the shower, the pool, the sea and the gym, and keep them away from perfume, hairspray and cream. Put your products on, let them dry, then put the jewelry on.
The material is always stated on the product page — if you're not sure, that's where to look.
How do I keep my jewelry looking new?
Stainless steel: a soft cloth, or a quick pass under warm soapy water, then dry. That's it.
Gold plate: soft dry cloth only. No soaking, no long baths — plating can't be repaired once it's gone.
In both cases, never toothpaste, vinegar, baking soda or abrasive powder. Those tips going around scratch the surface instead of cleaning it.
And store your pieces separately in their pouch rather than loose together — it's pieces rubbing against each other that cause fine scratches. Full detail by material is on our care guide.
There's a fault with my piece
Email us at smtzsav@gmail.com with photos, ideally within 48 hours of delivery so we can move fast.
That deadline takes nothing away from your rights. Return shipping on a faulty item is entirely on us.
What are “SMTZ Creation” pieces and engraved jewelry?
Those are the pieces we make or personalise to order. They take a little longer: allow 1 to 14 business days before shipping, with the exact time on each product page.
The piece I want is sold out — will it come back?
We can never promise a restock. Some pieces are made in small runs and don't come back.
Turn on the back-in-stock alert on the product page and follow us on social — we'll tell you either way.
Does the jewelry come in a pouch?
Yes. A SMTZ pouch comes free with every piece of jewelry.
If you're placing a big order with a lot of jewelry and you'd like an individual pouch for each piece, tell us by email or in the order note.
